Specifications include, but are not limited to: The North Dakota Office of Attorney General – Crime Lab Division (NDAG) anticipates outsourcing 300-400 property crime cases for forensic DNA testing. It is anticipated that approximately 250 of these cases will result in the potential for an entry of the forensic DNA profile into the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) database. The FBI’s Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) for Forensic DNA Laboratories, Standard 17, requires the National DNA Indexing System (NDIS) participating laboratory (NDAG) to show ownership of outsourced DNA testing through the completion of a technical review prior to entry of forensic DNA profiles into CODIS. Furthermore, Standard 17 allows for a third party reviewer to complete these requirements. This bid is specifically for the technical review of our outsourced property crime cases.
