Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of North Dakota will enter into a contract for the co-development of an in-car, mobile law enforcement crash reporting tool with crash validation process with an ArcGIS tool to identify crash location. Crash data will be submitted to a centralized Web-based component to the new system. The potential contract will be a cooperative purchasing contract established pursuant to North Dakota Century Code 54-44.4-13. The tool will include the following requirements: Will be platform independent (i.e., it’s not dependent on specific supporting hardware or operating system environment.). Will provide for automatic software updates to and from mobile units. Will generate NDDOT’s crash report form (SFN 2355) for completion by law enforcement when reporting to a motor vehicle crash per North Dakota Century Code 39-08-10, 39-08-13 and 39-08-15 which authorizes the NDDOT to make crash report forms available to law enforcement agencies to collect and analyze crash data. Will meet the American Motor Vehicle Association (AAMVA) standard for bar code scanning.
