Specifications include, but are not limited to: soliciting proposals for the development of a media campaign to promote community engagement in the Cardiac Ready Community program focused on improving the chances of survival and recovery for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, and stroke. The North Dakota Department of Health, Division of Emergency Medical Systems is soliciting proposals for the development of a media campaign to promote community engagement in the Cardiac Ready Community program focused on improving the chances of survival and recovery for victims of sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, and stroke. The purpose of the media campaign is to increase public awareness of the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest, heart attack and stroke. The campaign will focus on moving the public to action when an individual is experiencing a cardiac event by increasing the public’s knowledge and decreasing the delay between onset of symptoms and the decision to seek care. Increasing the public’s knowledge includes education on the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest, heart attack and stroke; encouraging the public to take action in the even an individual is experiencing a cardiac event; activation of the cardiac system of care by dialing 9-1-1; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and locating and using an automated external defibrillator when necessary. The Division of Emergency Medical Systems will provide the offeror with medically accurate information which will be used in the development of educational materials.
