The Mission of the Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) Immunization Program is to support efforts to prevent and control the transmission of vaccine preventable diseases by applying strategies to close the gaps in immunization coverage. A fully functional and robust Immunization Information System (IIS) is a key component in the identification of the gaps in coverage in order to provide increased service to those target areas identified by the IIS that will allow for increased electronic reporting of immunization records to meet the current and future needs of Immunization providers and the citizens of the state of Delaware. The current Immunization Information System (IIS), known as DelVAX became functional in December of 2011. DelVAX is a state of the art web based SQL data system that supports 2.5.1 messaging.
