Specifications include, but are not limited to: Each of the two existing split systems are made up of a 5 ton condensing unit, a matched 5 ton air handler with 20KW of electric strip heat and will be replaced with the same size equipment in a like for like manner, utilizing existing supply and return ductwork. A new 7-day programmable combination thermostat/humidistat shall be provided for the new units. Removal and haul away of each of the existing split systems from the site is required. Alternative equals based on performance will be acceptable. Model numbers listed here are to be used as a performance baseline. The new condenser to replace the Southwest 2005 condenser shall be placed away from the corner of the building. For each of the two split systems, I am proposing to use: Air Handler (AHU): Trane Model # TEM4A0C60S51SA, 2000 CFM, 20KW, 230V/1ph, Condensing Unit (CU): Trane Model # 4TWR5060D1000AA, 230V/1ph, 5 Tons, R-410A. It is very likely that new duct work connection transitions at the units will be needed. The power connection and condensate will need to be reconnected and may need to be extended or shortened, depending on the new unit configuration. New ACR copper refrigerant lines from the condensers to the air handlers will be needed with weatherproof insulation and UV protection. Contractor shall visit the site to become familiar with the existing conditions.
