Specifications include, but are not limited to: SERVICES a. Offeror shall serve as the consultant and advisor to the applicable Director of Medical Services or Designee with respect to the DOCR’s obligation of providing optometry services to offenders/juveniles in the custody of the DOCR. The Offeror shall assist the applicable Director of Medical Services or Designee in the development and formulation of optometry policies and procedures. b. Offeror shall conduct eye examinations of offenders and juveniles in accordance with approved, accepted, and prevailing optometry practice and shall write appropriate prescriptions for eyewear needs and advise the applicable Director of Nursing or Designee of offender/juvenile eyewear needs and eye problems. c. Offeror will need to provide their own mobile vision equipment necessary to complete a comprehensive eye examination, which may include, but is not limited to, a hand held ophthalmoscope with attachment that examines pupils, go diopter lens, screw driver for eyeglass repair, pliers for eyeglass repair. Offeror will need to provide and leave the following equipment at NDSP: contact lens cases, contact lens solution, eyeglass cleaning cloths.
