Specifications include, but are not limited to:CAT has a 60’ long x 19’9” wide x 16’8” high drive through bus wash bay inside its maintenance and storage facility. The vendor shall provide a turnkey Bus Washer that satisfies the following requirements: • The bus washer must be a 3-brush roll-over gantry system; • The bus washer must provide complete exterior washing of all standard size vehicles, including heavy duty buses, vans and trucks; • The bus washer must allow for up to 12 ft. vehicle heights and 12 ft. vehicle widths; • The bus washer system must travel on floor mounted tracks, passing over the vehicle twice – washing during the first pass and rinsing during the second pass; • The top brush must be controlled by adjustable load sensors to maintain smooth, even brush pressure against the vehicle during operation; • The top brush and side brushes must be equipped with an adjustable load sensor(s) for safety that shall, during operation, automatically sense any over-pressure on the vehicle and allow the top brush to release-over pressure; • All water nozzles and pipes must be separately removable for routine cleaning; • All pipe must be made of non-corrosive stainless steel; • The bus washer must operate automatically and also allow for manual operation; • All equipment associated with the bus washer shall be UL 294 compliant/recognized and rated for continuous operation; • All equipment shall operate on 120 or 240 volts AC, 50 or 60 Hz. • All electrical components, including motors, proximity switches, and solenoids must be totally enclosed, protected, and water tight; • The entire machine must be pre-wired and factory tested; • The bus washer system must have two emergency stop buttons, one at entry and one at exit; and
