Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Deliver a total of 28 hours of training to each provider. Training will consist of a pre-service curriculum which providers will be required to complete within 3 months of the beginning date of their Relative Care Service. The pre-service training will include the following topics: Safe Sleep, Shaken Baby, Emergency Planning, Health, Safety, Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting, Nutrition, First Aid and CPR. Within 6 months Relative Care Providers will be required to complete additional training in the following topic areas: Child Development, Health Topics in Early Childhood Education, and Positive Behavior. Contactor may submit recommendations for improvements to the curriculum. All training must be completed within 12 months of provider orientation. 2. Deliver certificates of completion to providers who have finished all required training. 3. Hold classes in each county a minimum of 2 times per year. Contractor will develop and mail schedule to Child Care Providers 1 month in advance. 4. Maintain a list of active and inactive providers. Contractor will update the list each month and share with Purchase of Care Unit. 5. Monitor the list of providers in danger of not completing their pre-service training as well as the timely completion of the series and notify Purchase of Care Unit.
