Specifications include, but are not limited to: Overview The Delaware State Police, is in need of purchasing state-of-the-art Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Suits for members of their Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit. The required specifications outlined below are the minimum requirements for the EOD Suits. A. EOD Suit The modular EOD suit shall be light weight, flexible and designed to balance blast protection and mobility. The Bomb Technician must be able to wear a standard issue cooling vest with the EOD suit. All components, including leg protectors, thigh protectors, ballistic shorts, lower arm protectors and plates, must be re-attachable by operators while deployed down range. The ensemble must provide a stereophonic speaker system to assist the wearer with determining the direction of a source of sounds outside the suit. The ensemble must provide a visual and audio warning of low battery levels.
