Specifications include, but are not limited to:Delaware State University is seeking to establish a contract with a professional executive search firm to conduct a nationwide search for this key leadership role. Specifically, the executive level position is that of the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs. University intends to fill this position before the end of 2016 calendar year. The selected candidate for the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs position will be responsible for the following tasks: The general supervision of all University wide academic affairs Responsible for adequate and efficient organization and conduct of academic services of all colleges and units offer by DSU Develop strategic plans by studying academic opportunities, present assumption and recommend objectives Establishing plans, budgets, result measurements, allocating resources, review progress of all academic colleges and/or programs Assist in collaborating with governmental agencies, community organizations, and DSU employees by enforcing ethical business practices Overseeing the overall academic integrity of the University Review and monitor the academic budgets in collaboration with the CFO and Director of Budgets for the division. Ensures academic activities meets the requirements of all accrediting and licensing agencies Support targeted and strategic enrollment management initiatives in programs and methods in the DSU changing environment Provide leadership in the implementation of instructional technologies to improve student learning
