This Sources Sought Notice is being issued to determine the availability and capability of potential small businesses (SBs) (e.g., 8(a), service-disabled veteran owned small business, HUBZone small business, small disadvantaged business, veteran-owned small business and woman-owned small business) to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and specifically the Center for Program Integrity (CPI), in its Plan Program Integrity Medicare Drug Integrity Contractor (PPI MEDIC) work focused on conducting fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) detection, deterrence, and prevention activities for Medicare Parts C and D by focusing primarily on data analyses, audits and reviews of Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAOs) (including Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MA-PD) plans) and stand-alone Prescription Drug Plan Sponsors (PDPs), outreach and education, and referrals to law enforcement and other appropriate entities. The desired outcomes of these efforts are to work collaboratively with MAOs, MA-PDs, and PDPs through outreach and education, to reduce FWA, and conduct audits of MAOs, MA-PDs and stand-alone PDPs thoroughly and in a timely manner and take immediate action to ensure that the Medicare Trust Fund is protected.
