Moody AFB is looking for a contractor to perform a one-time corrective maintenance service on eight (8) AN/PRC-117G multiband tactical radio units in accordance with manufacturer specifications and operational standards. The objective is to restore each unit to full operational capability, ensuring secure, encrypted communication readiness for mission-critical deployments.
Required Services Include:
Physical Inspection:
- Assess each unit for signs of wear, damage, or performance degradation.
- Document findings and identify units requiring additional repair.
Internal Cleaning:
- Remove dust, debris, and foreign substances from internal components to prevent interference and ensure optimal performance.
Functional Testing and Calibration:
- Measure, record, align, and adjust the following parameters:
- Receive frequency
- Transmit frequency
- Frequency deviation
- Transmitter power output
- Reflected power in antenna line (for mobile antennas, as applicable)
- Receive sensitivity
- Audio output levels
- Repair Authorization Protocol:
- If a unit fails any performance test and is not under warranty, the contractor shall notify the customer for approval prior to initiating repairs.
- Repairs for excessive physical, liquid, or chemical damage are excluded from standard corrective maintenance.
- Additional Services (As Applicable):
- Disassemble units for compliance inspection
- Replace seals and reassemble units if required
Performance Standards:
- All refurbished units must meet or exceed manufacturer-defined operational thresholds.
- Services must be completed within the agreed-upon time frame to avoid disruption to squadron readiness.
- Documentation of all maintenance actions and test results shall be provided upon completion.
