Summary: Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Webster Outlying Field, Ship & Air Integrated Warfare Division has a requirement to procure certified/approved shipboard/land-based radio amplifier (AMP) configurations as a component of various RCS for integration into various U.S. Navy, Coast Guard (USGS) and foreign naval ships. Consistent with this intent, the Navy is looking to evaluate vendor information and capabilities relating to two such potential requirements; the 100-Watt AMP Very High Frequency (VHF)/Ultra High Frequency (UHF) systems covering ‘Line of Sight’ (LOS) capabilities; and the 200-Watt UHF/Satellite Communications (SATCOM) AMP.
Salient Characteristics/Specifications:
This RFI is posted covering the potential for a five-year BOA anticipating the Government’s needs for power AMPs for various U.S. Navy, USCG and foreign naval classes of ships. Information should be provided regarding potential technologies for the 100-Watt LOS and 200-Watt AMPs consistent with the specifications of the following military nomenclature:
AM-7585D/USC-61(C) (100 Watt) specifications include:
- frequency range of 2 MHz – 2 GHz,
- contiguous; input power of 100-140 VAC, (47-63Hz);
- 0 to 55 Degree Celsius;
- Vibration MIL-STD-167;
- Shock MIL-STD-901E;
- EMI MIL-STD-461 and
- MIL-STD-1399.
AM-7584D/USC-61(C) (200-Watt) specifications include:
- frequency range of 30-512 MHz,
- Input Power of -20 dBm to 15dBm,
- Shock MIL-STD-901D operating: +/- 15 g, 11mSec; non-operating: +/- 30 g and humidity 95%, non-condensing.
Requested Information from Interested Companies:
Section 1 of your response shall provide administrative information as follows:

- Interested parties shall respond with existing capabilities or products that meet all of the Salient Characteristics/Specifications. Reponses that include alternative solutions are encouraged.
- Respondents shall include product specifications with submission.
- If you are an interested party, please identify the following information:
- Whether your capability is considered commercial, modified-commercial or non-commercial?
- Whether you are the original equipment manufacturer, authorized manufacturer or authorized distributor of the capability.
- If you are the original equipment manufacturer, advise whether you have authorized manufacturers and/or authorized distributors of the capability.
- If you are an authorized manufacturer and/or authorized distributor of the capability, identify who original equipment manufacturer along with provide proof that you are an authorized manufacturer and/or authorized distributor from the original equipment manufacturer.
