This USDA-Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service construction requirement is for the renovation os restrooms in building 6414 at Moore Air Base in Edinburg, Texas. Building 6414 houses the Insect Management and Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory.
Work includes demolition of existing walls, ceiling, floor tile, wall tile, counters, sinks, metal lockers, partitions, plumbing fixtures, mirrors.
New walls will be constructed with metal studs and gypsum board; new sheetrock, 2x2 ceiling tiles, flooring, shower tiles, vinyl cove base, door trim, vanity, touchless fixtures. Work also includes demo of existing slab to install new sewer pipe to reroute sanitary sewer line to new sanitary sewer service, new lockers, partitions.
This solicitation is set aside for small business firms only. The NAICS code is 236220 – Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $45 million. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000.

52.211-10 Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work (Apr 1984)
The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within five calendar days after
the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete
the entire work ready for use 120 days after notice to proceed. The time stated for completion shall
include final cleanup of the premises.
