Specifications include, but are not limited to: the recruitment for and conduct of a qualitative focus group project to explore how North Dakota women receive health information and perceive the services that the Women’s Way program has to offer. The North Dakota Department of Health, Division of Cancer Prevention and Control is soliciting proposals to carry out focus groups for the purpose of informing Women’s Way program education and outreach efforts. The Department wants assistance with implementing focus groups to explore perceptions of health information and channels of communication used by the Women’s Way target population. The consultant will recruit participants, schedule focus groups, designate staff and consultants to the project, utilize questions and focus group guidelines developed by the Women’s Way program, analyze information gathered from the focus group sessions, and a report of focus group findings and recommendations for future education and outreach activities. The goal of this project is to understand the best types of messages and media channels to use in order to communicate with the program’s target demographics and encourage the women to screen for breast and cervical cancer.
