The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest has a need for campground Reconstruction at the Guinavah-Malibu Campground in Logan Canyon, Cache County, Utah
The Guinavah-Malibu site includes a campground, group sites, trailhead, day-use area with picnic sites and a historical amphitheater. Special care to protect and retain existing CCC Historical features throughout the site is required.
Contract Base Bid and Option Item Descriptions
- Base:
a. Constructing a new entrance road and central intersection, with Trailhead Parking, pull-out and kiosk
b. Construct Right Turn Lane on US HWY 89.
c. Obliterating All existing roads that are to be removed throughout campground.
d. Removal All existing site furnishings (tables, concrete slabs, fire rings, water hydrants) throughout campground.
e. Removal of 1 Slump Block toilet building.
f. Construct Major Site Sign (Sign and Stone Base) off HWY 89.
- West Side Bid Option:
a. Constructing a new campground "loop", including new road, spurs, restrooms, family units and site furniture.
b. Realigning existing roads and intersections.
c. Installing new road signs and campsite unit numbers
d. Install CXT Toilets
- East Side Bid Option:
- Constructing a new road and parking areas. Surfaces will be a mix of aggregate types.
- Install new bulletin boards.
- Constructing a new walk-in camping, a pathway system, signs, and site furniture.
- Install CXT Toilets
- Asphalt Pavement Option:
- Place 3” asphalt pavement on Roads, Parking Areas, and Spurs.
- Pavilions Option:
- Erect pavilions at group sites.
- Construct Group Sites with site furnishings
- Amphitheater Restoration Option:
- Removal of existing amphitheater seating planks and posts.
- Installing new wood plan benches and supports,
- Constructing accessible pathway
- Constructing new wood stairs
- Installing pathway lighting
- Construct pavilion with site furnishings
- Interpretive Trail with Bulletin Boards Option:

- Construct an Interpretive Trail with Single-Panel Bulletin Boards with a roof.
The work anticipated under any contract resulting from the solicitation will be started approximately Fall 2025/Spring 2026
This is a total Small Business set aside.
An additional site visit will not be held.
