This is a Sources Sought announcement for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation for this requirement exists at this time. All businesses, regardless of size; capable of providing these services are invited to respond to this announcement and submit a capability statement for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine a firm¿s previous experience performing similar work. The capability statements will be reviewed and used to determine an appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or otherwise pay for information solicited.
Proposed Project:
The Yuma Area Office (YAO) within the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) currently operates various monitoring wells in the Yuma area. The monitoring wells have been established under various congressional acts to control groundwater levels and meet contractual obligations with various water districts for draining the Association Lands, provide return flows for delivery and water to Mexico to meet treaty obligations, and to provide return flow credits for the various water districts. In order to meet current and future commitments, new and replacement monitoring wells will be needed.
Reclamation¿s current monitoring wells are approaching the end of their useful life or are experiencing reduced pumping capacity due to various existing conditions (i.e., collapsed well, damaged screens, iron bacteria, etc.). Reclamation has standardized local monitoring well designs utilizing between 6 and 10-inch diameter steel well casing pipe. 6 and 10-inch diameter, .375- inch wall mild steel casing pipe in 20-foot sections.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition 331210 Iron and Steel Pipe and Tube Manufacturing from Purchased Steel. The small business size standard for NAICS Code 331210 is 1000 employees.
