Sources Sought Notice Sources Sought Notice Page 4 of 4 Sources Sought Notice *= Required Field Sources Sought Notice Page 1 of 4 NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: This is a Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source firm fixed price contract to the following contractor for project: 528A8-25-802 Upgrade Paralleling Switchgear at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center 113 Holland Avenue Albany, NY 12208: BLUEWAY ONE JV LLC 1730 PARK ST STE 123 NAPERVILLE Il 60563 This is done under authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1: Only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The intent of this project is to modify the existing emergency power paralleling switchgear at the Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center in support of project: 528A8-17-805 Replace Main Boilers (36C24224C0150) awarded to BLUEWAY ONE JV LLC. The Samuel S. Stratton VA Medical Center shall be disconnecting the back-up emergency generator in order to perform modifications to the paralleling switch gear required by project: 528A8-17-805 Replace Main Boilers. The additional modifications to the paralleling switch gear to be completed under project: 528A8-25-802 Upgrade Paralleling Switchgear shall occur during the same back-up emergency generator disconnect. Due to scheduling, liability, warranty and physical space constraints, BLUEWAY ONE JV LLC is the only contractor that can perform the additional modifications to the paralleling switch gear. NAICS Code is 238210 (Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors) with a small business size standard of $19 Million. The classification code is Z1DA Maintenance of Hospitals and Infirmaries. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
