This solicitation covers the design of a steel tower with glass façade outside of a U.S. Government-owned building for an elevator with vestibule for accessibility from the main entrance to 2 upper floors, to meet the ABA (American Architectural Barriers Act) requirements. The project involves - but is not limited to - the following :
- Workshop drawings, factory and assembly planning of a steel tower with glass façade for an elevator over 3 floors (height ca.10m), outside of the building, according to the American Architectural Barriers Act (ABA guidelines).
- Delivery and assembly of the steel tower with glass façade according to the American Architectural Barriers Act (ABA guidelines).
- Coordinated design with the general planner’s design team and the elevator contractor: The elevator will be mounted inside the steel-glass tower over 3 floors.
- Coordinated cooperation on site with all project participants.
- Temporary massive dust wall outdoor (weather protection) protection measures and materials, scaffolds, lifting platforms, material lifts, etc.
- Commissioning and Certificates for fire protection, safety glass qualification, building physics (thermal qualification, sun protection, sound-protection)
All contractors must be registered n the SAM (System Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations/proposals.
Estimate size of the project: estimated construction cost per range according to FAR 36-204: between $ 100,000 and $ 250,000.
