This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN). The purpose of this SSN is to identify sources capable of - and interested in - performing the required services in the designated geographic locations. Information provided will be used to help determine the government's procurement strategy.
This is not a Request for Quotations (RFQ)/solicitation. Quotes received will not be considered and no award will be made from this sources sought notice.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Border Patrol, Tucson Sector is seeking sources for solid waste removal services for Ajo Border Patrol Station and the Ajo State Route 85 Checkpoint located in Ajo, Arizona. A draft copy of the Performance Work Statement is attached. The PWS is subject to change prior to issuance of the solicitation.
The period of performance is expected to include a base year and four option years. The base year period of performance will be August 7, 2025, through August 6, 2026.
If interested, please submit the following information:
1. Your business name, address, Unique Entity Identifier (UEI), and a point of contact
2. Whether you qualify as a small business concern under NAICS code 562111, which has a size standard of $47 million.
3. Whether you are an eligible, certified small business concern under any of the following small business programs: the Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Program, the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program, the HUBZone Program, or the 8(a) Program.
4. A description of your experience providing solid waste removal services. If you have had previous contracts that are relevant to this requirement, please cite them. Respondents are encouraged to cite experience in or near these locations.
5. A statement describing the extent to which you possess the necessary personnel, equipment, facilities, and management capabilities to successfully perform the work at the locations specified in the PWS. Please note whether you intend to subcontract for the services and, if so, whether you could comply with the requirements of FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting. If your ability to comply with FAR 52.219-14 depends on the solicitation set-aside, please explain. Respondents are encouraged to identify any proposed subcontractor.
6. Whether you intend to submit a quotation if a solicitation is issued.
7. Any relevant questions or comments that you have

This SSN is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation (RFQ), and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract. Furthermore, the Government will not pay for the information submitted in response to this request. All information contained in this SSN is preliminary, subject to modification, and is in no way binding on the Government. Responding to this SSN is not required; failing to respond will not negatively affect a vendor's eligibility under any future solicitation that is issued.
Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary information contained in their response.
