THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. There is no solicitation available at this time. This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice. If a solicitation is later released, it will be synopsized in a location to be determined. It is the potential business concerns responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis or solicitation. This effort is to seek qualified potential sources capable of fulfilling the requirements of a Brand Name procurement of one (1) Cummins ISX15 replacement Engine.
The Tennessee Army National Guard’s Unit Training Equipment Site-2 (UTES-2), located in Lavinia, TN, has a potential requirement for a brand name procurement of one (1) Cummins ISX15 replacement Engine needed to replace a non-operational engine in a 2009 Havey Haul Kenworth T800 semi-truck. Please see the draft purchase description and salient characteristics outlined in attachment 1.
The currently contemplated NAICS code is 333618 Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1,500 employees. a. Provide a brief history of your business, to include organization structure, experience in supplying new or refurbished diesel engines to the commercial market and how you have the resources necessary to fulfill the potential requirement roughly outlined in attachment 1.
b. Describe subcontracting services previously utilized. If you are a small business, explain how you would conduct 51% of the work if this requirement was set aside for small businesses.
c. Describe how your current commercial/federal contracts are structured.
3. Please provide a rough order of magnitude/rough pricing estimate that includes the purchase, delivery, and installation off all items listed in the attached purchase description. *THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE! PROVIDE ROUGH ESTIMATES ONLY!*
