Specifications include, but are not limited to: The coal, as received, shall have: ● a calorific value of no less than 9000 BTU/lb ● an ash content of less than 5% ● a sulfur content of less than 1% 2) The coal will be oil coated at a rate of not less than 1 gallon of oil per ton of coal. 3) The coal shall be double-screened so that the delivered coal shall be smaller than a 1.75 inch screen opening but larger than a 0.5 inch screen opening. The coal, as delivered, shall conform as closely as possible to the laboratory analysis report furnished with the bid. (See paragraph 2 of “Special Terms and Conditions.”) The Contractor shall conduct sampling and laboratory analysis of coal supplied under this contract to confirm that the coal as delivered complies with the above specifications. The analysis shall provide information as to the moisture, ash, and sulfur content of the coal to be furnished, as well as BTU/lb. Test results shall be furnished to the State once a month. Should the coal fail to consistently comply with the required specifications, the contract is subject to cancellation.
