This announcement constitutes a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, in accordance with FAR 15.201 and DFARS 210.001, for information and planning purposes to identify qualified and experienced sources. This SOURCES SOUGHT notice does not constitute as a Request for Quote (RFQ) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate decision of the acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any cost associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.
Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, CA has the following requirement:
Ship Class: Litoral Combat Ship (LCS)
Original Equipment Manufacturer: MTU solutions
Work Item: Number One Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG); overhaul
Please note that this work will require a dock.
Current Anticipated Schedule (subject to change):
Begin work: June 30, 2025
End work: October 25, 2025
The anticipated place of performance will be Seattle, Washington.
It is requested that interested firms submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating your firm’s ability to perform the work and experience in performing similar work. This document shall address, at a minimum the following:
(1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), UEI number, CAGE Code and a statement regarding small business designation and status;
(2) This procurement is anticipated to be solicited under NAICS Code 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a size standard of 1,300 employees. Indicate if your company is a large or small business and socioeconomic category (HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.), if applicable.
(3) Partnership, teaming, joint ventures, or mentor-protégé agreements.
Please provide your response to this source sought notice by 10:00 a.m. PST., San Diego, CA time on 25 April 2025 to mitchell.s.mcleod.civ@us.navy.mil. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government as to the extent of shipyards available for this procurement. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received.
