SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for integration of the Vocera Engage Ascom Nurse Call System for the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, WI. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541512 Computer Systems Design Services. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Requirements: The project is comprised of establishing a seamless connection between the exiting Ascom Telligence (Tellurgy) Nurse Call system and the existing Vocera communication platform. The project involves system design, procurement of hardware, software, licenses, and installation to allow the exiting Ascom Telligence Nurse Call system to integrate with the Vocera communication platform. The Tellurgy Nurse Call system will be integrated to Vocera/Engage solution through Vocera badges and smart badges for two-way alert and communication with patient (room to badge). Alarm/notifications will be designed, configured, and deployed in the CLC nursing unit. Facilitate a series of workflow design session to develop the integrated clinical design specifying the alarms / notifications that will be delivered to Vocera; the routing of selected alarms / notifications to the appropriate caregiver role; the escalation of alarms / notifications and alert enunciation and presentation on Vocera. Systems configuration for a maximum of one (1) individual nursing unit. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address if applicable, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort and documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability. If significant subcontracting or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements. The Government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated.
