Mobile Electric Workstations Salt Lake City VA Medical Center, Utah BRIEF SCOPE OF WORK (This is for information only) IMPORTANT NOTE: This Sources Sought is for market research purposes only (to determine the socioeconomic status of interested companies). No award will be made off this posting. The new Emergency Department is currently under construction, with an estimated completion date of Summer 2025. With the completion of this new building, and the degradation/loss of functionality in old equipment needing to be replaced, the station will require 15 new mobile electronic workstations for patient care. Must have four (4) wheels, with locking casters functional to prevent unintended translation. Cart must contain a battery (45 Ah, 12V DC) capable of powering standard computer equipment (computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, scanner) for up to 12 hours. Must have integrated AC outlets. Must integrate monitor, mouse, keyboard, and scanner with computer stored in lockable area. Computer storage separate from keyboard rest and basic worksurface. Monitor mount/arm must fully articulate Keyboard rest must be adjustable and a separate surface area from basic worksurface and computer storage location. Must be able to accommodate either a left- or right-hand mouse. Surface for the mouse must be separate from the computer storage and basic worksurface. Cart must have sit-to-stand height adjustment to accommodate users 5 0 to 6 1 (152 to 185cm) that moves with the worksurface and keyboard Maximum load/weight capacity: 31 lbs. (14.1 kg) Power Strip Mounting Kit: Should be included in quote if the cart does not already allow for a standard power strip to be attached to the cart. Wipes Holder Mounting Component: Should be included in quote if the cart does not already have a built-in mechanism to hold sanitation wipes for easy sanitation and infection control. Scanner Shelf: Should be included in quote if the cart does not already have a built-in mechanism to hold a standard wireless scanner. The Contractor, its employees, agents, and subcontractors shall not be considered VA employees for any purpose of fulfilling the PWS and shall be considered employees of the Contractor. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, shipping, transportation, insurances, licenses, certifications, and supervision necessary to provide services in accordance with this Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Contractor is responsible for all charges and fees related to disposal of materials generated by the Contractor. This is anticipated to be a commercial supply acquisition under the authority of FAR Part 12, Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items.
