The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS) has a requirement for additional Elevator work.
Solicitation 12505B24R0014 is issued as a Request for Proposals {RFP). The solicitation document, with the incorporated clauses and provisions, is issued in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 13 and 36 and will be incorporated in the awarded firm-fixed price contract. The solicitation is Subject to Availability of Funds. Interested vendors should reference the solicitation documents for all terms and conditions. Notice of Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns: This requirement is a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside.
The associated NAICS is 238290, other Building Equipment Contractors. The small business size standar is $22 million.
Magnitude of Construction is estimated to b e between $100,000 and $250,000.
Period of performance is 120 days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed to include inspection and punch list.
Submission of bid, payment and performance bonds are required upon award of this acquisition.
Site visits will be conducted at National Laboatory for Agriculture and the Enviromment, USDA-ARS, 1015 N. University Blvd., Ames, IA on April 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM CDT and April 16, 2025 at 9:00 AM CDT. In order to attend the site visit, you MUST pre-register by April 14, 2025 at 3:00 PM CDT. Pre-register by emailing jeffery.kathman@usda.gov with your company name and the name(s) of the representative(s) who will attend.

Questions must be submitted no later than close of business on *** April 22, 2025.*** Answers to all questions received by that time will be posted as an amendment to the solicitation. Biobased Products: This procurement requires the use of Biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. System updates may lag policy updates. The System for Award Management (SAM) may continue to require entities to complete representations based on provisions that are not included in agency solicitations. Examples include 52.222-25, Affirmative Action Compliance, and paragraph (d) of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications—Commercial Products and Commercial Services. Contracting officers will not consider these representations when making award decisions or enforce requirements. Entities are not required to, nor are they able to, update their entity registration to remove these representations in SAM.
