SCOPE OF WORK: Furnish all labor, materials, equipment,and professional services.
necessary to conduct the following for Base Honolulu:
- BASE ITEMS: Work includes but is not limited to:
- Determine the location of the blockage in the pipes connecting the shower, sink, and urinal in the men’s restroom in Pier 4.
- Secure sewer and water lines to the restroom as required.
- Provide a Confined Space Certified member to enter the confined space adjacent to the suspected area of blockage. See attached image of the confined space in figure 1.
- In the confined space, remove the blockage in the pipe. If that is not feasible, remove and replace the pipe.
- If the confined space does not allow access to the site, begin work in the bathroom.
- Remove the tile and concrete flooring to gain access to the pipe. The current flooring and suspected floor area to be removed is shown in figure 2. The pipe is believed to be approximately 4 feet below the floor.
- Remove the blockage. If that is not feasible, remove and replace the clogged pipe.
- Pour new concrete to replace the flooring to match existing conditions and match the height of the existing floor.
- Install tile to match existing conditions. Tile must be submitted to and approved by the Project Manager (PM).
- Re-open sewer and water lines.
