Question and Answer - Updated 09/16/2024
1Q: What sample types will be used?
1A: Some of the work will include low-quality sample types but most will be high-quality. Typically, the samples are tissue but may be bone or other low quality sample types.
2Q: Is this an ongoing or new requirement? If ongoing, who was the previous contractor and what was the award number?
2A: This is a reoccurring need. The most recent order for this type of requirement was Purchase Order 12639523P0431 to contractor Neogen Corporation.
3Q. Are these blood, Allflex tissue sampling units (TSUs) or some other matrix?
3A. The routine sample type (>95% of sample submissions) is ear pinna preserved in silica beads. So, sample handling/processing requires processing vials by hand as opposed to a fully automated system as can be used with the AllFlex TSU.
