The intent of this action is a contract to have high dollar fabrication machinery inspected, performance of preventative maintenance functions completed, and necessary identified repairs made. A determining factor when searching for a company to provides these services was location. Given that most of the fabrication equipment cannot be moved a local vendor in the Ft. Meade area would need to be selected to perform these services. Also, since the fabrication equipment in question consists of equipment from a host of different manufacturers the company would need to have the knowledge and capability of supporting equipment from different manufacturers. IMT staff first developed a listing of fabrication equipment requiring services. The list is as follows:

• Hardinge TM Horizontal Mill
• Bridgeport Vertical Mills (2 Series I Mills).
