The back support exoskeletons must weigh no more than 7.25 lbs, provide adjustable support to the user of 20-30 lbs, have the option to allow unimpeded walking while supporting trunk flexion postures, be a fully integrated system without loose parts, and have the option to provide support at less than 20 degrees of forward trunk flexion. The shoulder support exoskeletons must weigh no more than 5.5 lbs, provide at least 7 lbs of lift support to each arm, include adjustments for arm length, waist diameter, and spinal height to fit 90% of the human population, have instantaneous force assist adjustment, allow no more than a 4-inch silhouette increase during operation, have the area between shoulder blades free of obstruction for PPE integration, be a one-size-fits-all style system with operator-facing self-adjustment, include easily identifiable donning/doffing features for emergency egress if required, and be machine washable. Compatible neck support attachments with an adjustable resting angle are also required for the shoulder support exoskeletons.
