Project Title: Trickel Park (Asphalt) Road Reconstruction – Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forest, Colorado
1. Background
The project consists of road rehabilitation including asphalt concrete pavement, culverts, signage, and pavement markings.Work shall include, but is not limited to; asphalt concrete pavement, culverts, signage, and pavement markings as specified in the Plans and Drawings, Forest Service Supplemental Specifications (FSSS) and Schedule of Items.
2. General Scope of Services and Responsibilities
A. Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, engineering, quality control, labor, equipment, materials and supplies necessary to perform a broad range of construction and maintenance work on Government infrastructure.
B. The Contractor is professionally responsible for the services performed under this contract. The Contractor shall be responsive to Government-furnished criteria, information, guidance, and review comments. All services shall be in full compliance with Federal, State, and local requirements.
Project Location
Directions from the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison (GMUG) National Forests (NF), Supervisors Office, 2250 South Main, Delta, Colorado.
Travel north on Highway 50 for 2.3 miles. Turn east onto Highway 92 E. Travel east for 3.8 miles to the intersection with Highway 65 N. Turn north onto Highway 65 N. Travel north for 26.8 miles. Turn east onto National Forest System Road (NFSR 121) Trickel Park (the Grand Mesa Visitors Center is adjacent to the Trickel Park Road). Drive to the beginning of the project. Project begins at the end of the existing asphalt.
