Specifications include, but are not limited to:Project Scope: DNREC, Division of Parks and Recreation, Delaware State Parks is closing the Cape Henlopen State Park Campground on September 11th to allow significant improvements to be completed prior to the Memorial Day weekend of 2017. The improvements will consist of the following: New power and water connections at each camping site; Removal of 10-feet of asphalt roadway at each side of the existing roadways; Paving new RV parking sites; Reconfiguring the traffic pattern which will include new signage; New roadways and vehicle parking areas: Modifications to the sewer and water utilities; Grading; Removal of aerial electric, installation of underground electric service, transformer replacement as well as new transformers; Conversion of an existing bathhouse into a camp store and laundry; Renovations to the existing contact station and Installation of information centers.
