NICO Trimming and Removal of Trees

The purpose of this amendment is notify all parties of questions and answers from site visit:
1. The stump near the Township Hall east side identified to be removed in the scope. A borrowing nesting hole was noticed. Is it okay to remove this stump? Yes, stump is to be removed as the nesting hole is empty per NPS Biologist.
2. In roadside park area - do we trim cedars as well as indigenous tree to be part of work? Indigenous trees only are a part of this scope.
3. There are six trees with significant amount of dead branch and limbs in the roadside park are they to be removed as in Treatment #1? Yes, they are to be removed.
4. Waste removal - is there a nearby recycling center for our use? Graham County does compost tree and lawn materials. Where is that located? South of Hill City KS approximately 25 to 30 miles from Nicodemus.
5. Can we provide the wood to a farmer for firewood as recycled? Yes, that is reuse of material, the point is the have the waste removed from the townsite, while adhering to laws and regulations on disposal.
