PHYSICAL SPACE
Storage locations that provide ceiling height
allowance of 6’8” clearance should be
sufficient to accommodate a Follow-Up with an
external light bar.
FLOOR LOAD
The weight of DAVs has increased
significantly from legacy armored vehicles.
Depending on the year of production (2003,
2007, or 2010), this increase ranges from
04/2020
1,000 to 2,000 lbs. The weight of the two
vehicles (Limo & FU), assuming they are
parked side by side, would not exceed 22,000
lbs. (10,500 lbs. per vehicle). For ramp
capacity, offices should consider the weight of
any additional equipment and personnel that
may be in the vehicle.
If stored at a remote location, the vehicles
need to be indoors, out of direct sunlight, and
climate controlled (Preferred). Enclosure
needs to be solid walls. Requires Intrusion
Detection System, high security locks, access
control to enter storage, cameras, and a
vehicle/enclosure key storage container.
Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility,
seismic, and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. A fully serviced
lease is required.
The U.S. Government currently occupies office and related space in a building
under a lease in Kenner, LA that will be expiring. The Government is considering
alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the
Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space
that potentially can satisfy the Government’s requirements, as well as costs likely
to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of
tenant improvements and telecommunication infrastructure, and non-productive
agency downtime.
