This project includes the installation of a new water well source to replace an existing spring water source at the Moon Lake Recreation Area on the Duchesne-Roosevelt River District of the Ashley National Forest. Specifically, this project focuses on the Lake Fork Trailhead and tank sites.
The work includes:
1. Drilling of an 8" diameter well
2. Equipping the well with a submersible pump
3. Construction of a utility building and associated treatment and control equipment.
4. Installing electrical supply from nearby utility poles.
5. Installing new HDPE water supply and electrical control conductor between the utility building and tank.
6. Modifying and repairing selected appurtenances at the tank site.
The bid is separated into two schedules. Schedule 1 work must be completed and approved by the State of Utah before a notice to proceed will be issued for Schedule 2.
Schedule 1 includes all work associated with drilling, casing, and testing an 8” diameter well.
An optional bid item is desired for work that may be awarded if required:
Incidental Option #1: Well abandonment (if acceptable water is not found).
Schedule 2 includes all work associated with equipping the well and installing water and electrical improvements required to connect to the water system.
Alternative Options of which one will be selected include:
Alternate Option A: Installing steel drop pipe in the well.
Alternate Option B: Installing a flexible drop pipe in the well.
