The HICS G&S Device seals the armored telephone cable line as it exits the conduit. Additionally, it electrically connects the corrugated solid copper shield to the steel conduit, shorting any Electromagnetic Pulse to ground.
A replacement for the current HICS G&S Device is needed. The Government expects a need for 1851-piece parts, including 14 assembled complete devices.
The Government has created a 3-Dimensional model in Solid Works format plus Adobe PDFs in 2D, located in Attachment 2. The preliminary 2D PDF Attachment 2 is controlled information and cannot be released to the public, see below for instructions. The drawing will be modified to call-out machining and machining metals as specifications. The drawing is provided for general awareness of the part size and shape only.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Attachment 2 is controlled unclassified information(CUI) and is available upon request and validation of security clearance. Providing a DD254 is acceptable, or please provide CAGE code to be vetted by our security office.
Attachment 1 part numbers are referenced on Attachment 2.
