07-FEB-2024: The purpose of this Amendment is to add the revised Plan Set (B.08 Amendment 0002 CRCI_ADVERTISE_PLAN_SET_02FEB2024). This amendment clarifies that controlled density fill is not required outside the levee limits (C-301) and that HDPE may not be used for the gravity pipes (C-204). The table of estimated quantities on C-101 has been updated. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
30-JAN-2024: The purpose of this Amendment is to revise the Specifications section 40 05 13.00 para 2.3.1.1.(b.).
b. The pressurized pipe must have an inner diameter of (29.875 - 30) inch and a minimum w all thickness of 0.95 inch. The gravity outfall pipes must have an inner diameter of (29.875 - 30) inch and a minimum w all thickness of .750 inch. Gravity outfall pipes can be the same thickness as the pressure pipe, but this is not required. Pipes are not required to be coated but coating does not need to be removed if products come coated.

This solicitation pertains to Columbia River Channel Improvements Pipe Procurement and Installation project 2024 in accordance with the Specifications for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, at Mile 44 of the Columbia River. This will be a firm-fixed-price construction contract. The North American Industry
Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990 and the associated small business size standard is $45,000,000. The solicitation wis Full and Open competition and the magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, has a requirement for the installation of three 30" inside diameter (ID) steel pipes through the Puget Island levee for permanent use in upland dredge disposal activities. The work includes a temporary pedestrian path, road cut with asphalt road surface replacement, trench
excavation, 30-inch steel pipe installation with reinforced concrete foundation blocks, backfill with controlled density fill/filter material, install wooden fence, and incidental related work. Procurement of Pipe lead time is estimated at 10 - 12 weeks and construction is estimated at 4 – 6 weeks beginning May of 2024 (depending on award date).
