Specifications include, but are not limited to: This section outlines the scope of work included to demolish existing duct system as necessary to rework and add new ductwork, registers, and duct boots in order to remodel the basement level of Building A and is to be completed in two separate phases as indicated on the floor plan attachment. All work for HVAC must meet requirements of SMACNA and NFPA. Contractor will provide all means & methods, labor, materials, warranties and any needed rental equipment (installation, start-up and warranty) to complete this portion of work. Refer to the appropriate specification section for further information about installation and preparation methods and components to be provided. The existing floor plan, new floor plan layout and reflected ceiling plan are attached. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to the following items: 1. Mechanical subcontractor is required to provide signed and sealed mechanical drawings to reconfigure the existing mechanical for maximum performance of existing equipment to accommodate new floor plan layout. 2. Convert existing pneumatic system to Direct Digital Controls (DDC). Existing system controls four (4) variable air volume/dual inlet duct terminal air units. 3. Building A has a proprietary building automation system (BAS) that is manufactured by Alerton. This project will require the installation of control products in order to fully function with the existing system. 4. When needed TXDPS will install the line voltage electrical to each unit’s contractor supplied disconnect. The contractor will be responsible for the portion of the line voltage electrical wiring from the electrical disconnect to the unit. Low voltage control wiring shall also be the contractor’s responsibility.
