These specifications cover all work required to pick up, clean, inspect, rehabilitate, test, and deliver one (1) right angle gearbox to Paint Creek Dam. The gearbox is a Litton Right Angle Gearbox with Serial Number 3H-73650. Specifications for the gearbox are as follows: Gear Ratio is 14.5:1, RPM input is 1155, Output Torque is 4482, HP Rating is 6.37, and the Frame is U-40. Refer to drawing number O16b-UPC3-52.3 and the gearbox name plate for more information. The gearbox shall be rebuilt in accordance with the manufacturer?s recommendations to for the items listed below. All work shall conform to all applicable standards including AGMA 6001-E08 and AGMA 6013-A06. The original manufacturer?s specifications shall be followed and documented for the required settings of bearing laterals, gear backlash, gear tooth mesh and profiles, housing fits, housing continuity, critical dimensions, torque values, and proper operational parameters. The Contractor shall be responsible for removing and reinstalling couplings on all shafts of the gearbox. The Contractor shall also be responsible for transportation of the gearbox to and from their facility.
