Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Project consists of the construction of an approximately 14,400 square foot Fire Station, with parking for 5 visitor parking spaces, 25 staff parking spaces and associated site work. A detention pond is included. An Additive Alternate #2 would increase the size of the fire station to 15,400 square foot if the City elects to utilize this option. The building will be a single story steel frame and tilt-up concrete structure with a suspended slab, drilled pier and slab-on-fill foundation. The exterior finish materials will consist of an exterior insulated finish system (EIFS), tilt-up concrete panels, metal panel soffits, pre-finished metal roof, aluminum windows and storefront system. Interior construction shall be metal stud framing, gypsum wallboard and concrete masonry unit construction. The Fire and EMS Apparatus Bays will have exposed concrete floors and exposed ceilings. Interior finishes include vinyl composition and ceramic tile flooring, painted and tile wall finishes and exposed painted and acoustical ceilings. Special systems shall include, but are not limited to, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical services, interior and exterior lighting, fire protection and alarm systems, data and communications and an alerting system. Site improvements shall include utilities, storm drainage, concrete sidewalks and driveways, parking areas, drainage improvements and landscaping and site accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
