Amendment 0001 added on 11 SEP 2023. Please see the attachment.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Willamette Valley Project is soliciting services to provide wildfire fuels mitigation and reduction around the Dexter Service Building complex and access road to Lookout Point Powerhouse. The purpose of this service is to establish FIREWISE (see FIREWISE criteria in section 2.0 definitions) defensible space to provide minimal protection from wildfire for 1) Personnel stationed at the Dexter Service Building complex. 2) Physical records, equipment and structures at the Dexter Service Building complex and 3) unimpeded access to the Lookout Point Powerhouse during a wildfire event.
Current conditions at the Dexter Service Building complex and access road to the Lookout Point Powerhouse do not meet FIREWISE defensible space requirements and pose a potentially hazardous or deadly situation to the personnel, records, equipment and facilities at Lookout Point and the Dexter Service Building complex and could prevent access to and stop operation of the Lookout Point Powerhouse, a critical infrastructure facility.
Fuels mitigation and reduction shall address approximately 4 acres, approximately 200 mature trees. See appendix A. Approximate location of work to be done is 40386 West Boundary Rd. Lowell 97452.
