Specifications include, but are not limited to:Location a. The proposed space will be located within a 15‐mile radius of the San Antonio International Airport in San Antonio, TX, and capable of landing large turbo‐prop aircraft with a minimum runway length of 5,000 feet. Proposals which offer space outside of these boundaries may not be considered for award of this Lease. 2. Access a. The proposed space will provide aircraft taxi access to all runways on the San Antonio International Airport. b. Space on the tarmac adjacent to the hangar space is required for preflight and ready to launch. c. The proposed space will provide direct ramp access through a secure gate for vehicle access. d. The hangar facility will provide secure and controlled access for sensitive and expensive law enforcement equipment. 3. Facility a. The hangar facility must be at least 6,000 square feet with a minimum door height of 24 feet. This figure represents the space needed to accommodate one fixed‐wing and one rotorcraft. b. The office facility must be at least 2,000 square feet of air‐conditioned space adjacent to the hangar. This space will be used by TXDPS to house repair station tools; secure spare parts; test equipment; as an employee break/flight planning area; for storage; and is intended to accommodate nine (9) TXDPS personnel. c. The Lessor shall provide, at the Lessor’s expense, all utilities, services, meters and connections necessary for the proper and intended use of the space. Utilities include electricity; continuous hot and cold water; sanitary wastewater system; heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system; telecommunication, internet access and wireless fidelity (wi‐fi) systems.
