This contract will provide support to the 377th Mission Support Group (MSG) at Kirtland Air Force Base, located in Bernalillo County, in central New Mexico, southeast of and adjacent to the city of Albuquerque.
The radiological survey will be conducted on the OT-10 range located in the southeast portion of the facility near the golf course. The site consists of four active thorium-seeded training fields and a bunker used by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency/Defense Nuclear Weapons School (DTRA/DNWS) to train military radiological response personnel in the detection of dispersed contamination resulting from incidents involving nuclear weapons.
