PRODUCT: RED DRAGON PSD MACHINE AND SPHERES
Helicopter mounted device to be used for dispensing aerial spheres that ignite prescribed burns. Device must have the capability of injecting ethylene glycol into spheres which starts a timed exothermic reaction and then dispenses them out of the aircraft.
Features/Salient characteristics
¿ Device must be low maintenance and have a variable dispense rate of 25-175 spheres per minute.
¿ Must have a minimum of 5 selectable drop rates that can be changed instantly utilizing a dial setting.
¿ Micro processor-controlled motor and feed gates that prevents spheres from jamming with automatic jam detection and clearing.
¿ Fixed-displacement pump to deliver same amount of chemical, no matter what speed is selected.
¿ Safety system for on-board fire protection with battery backup
¿ Quick purge system for maximum safety
¿ Launcher unit weight of less than 50lbs empty.
¿ Large capacity hopper with a capacity of at least 600 spheres
¿ Compatible with 1¿ dragon eggs.
¿ Must utilize spheres that are on hand at US fire caches.
¿ Controllable with a handheld remote.
