THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE – THIS IS A NOTICE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S INTENT TO ISSUE A SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO BRUKER AXS, LLC FOR PORTABLE X-RAY FLUORENCE SPECTOMETER.
The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition
Directorate, (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Bruker AXS, LLC, 5465 E Cheryl PKWY Fitchburg, Wisconsin 53711-5373, (UEI: FSZEBNCHN7E6, CAGE: 8NA10).
To meet the Government’s mission, the Defense Prisoner of War (POW)/Missing in Action (MIA) Accounting Agency (DPAA) is to achieve the fullest possible accounting of all Americans missing as a result of our nation's past conflicts. The highest priority of the organization is the recovery and return of the remains of fallen service members to their families. The contracting officer has determined that Bruker AXS, LLC has the capability to not only meet all salient requirements, but are the direct seller of the Bruker Tracer 5G, which is comprised of the following items:
Tracer 5G
Tracer 5 Heavy Metals and Nutrients in Soil 8mm Air
Tracer 5 Desktop Stand
This procurement will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.5 under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 334516 – Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing Small Business Size Standard of 1000 employees. This is a commercial item. The estimated amount for this procurement is under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold 90 days after Award delivery date.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interest and submit a capability statement indicating they meet the same/similar curriculum identified above by 12:00 PM, EDT on July 19, 2023 to susie.m.lee3.civ@mail.mil and William.p.relyea.civ@mail.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
