Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center located in Jackson, MS requires the following services for the facility: Fire Alarm System inspections and Repairs for facility fire alarm system and ancillary components as required by (and in accordance with) Joint Commission Standards, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards, and other regulations/policies that are applicable. BACKGROUND: The Department of Veterans Affairs, G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center, is seeking full routine testing and preventive maintenance for its fire alarm system components located throughout the facility. These units are integral to monitoring and preventing potential hazards to the facility, thus protecting patients and staff, and ensuring the facility maintains its functionality and service to Veterans. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 99, 72, 101 and The Joint Commission require routine testing of the Fire Notification System and all components. To ensure the system is running as designed, preventive maintenance is also required and to include any repairs required for a fully functional system.
