The scope of the project shall consist of the repair of aging roofing components for purposes of preventative maintenance for the USFS Wood Education and Resource Center (WERC) facility. Time of performance will be 60 days. Work shall include:
Special Use Building (Approximately 40,000 Sq Ft Metal Roof): removal of existing sealants at approximately 3,800 screws (with wire brush or other mechanical abrasive), and recoating screws with urethane sealant. Removal of previously applied liquid sealant at approximately 29 pipe penetration boots and reapply urethane sealant.
Main/Office Building: Top off Pitch Pockets with new pourable sealant, Replace Broken Downspout Straps, remove and replace deteriorated sealant at all scuppers, coping joints, and pipe penetration collars.
Contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to perform the work as described in the scope.
The Government Estimate is under $25,000.
