Inkjet Labware Printer Specifications
Must be a high-speed printing system capable of printing directly on multiple types of labware without
the need for adhesive labels.
Must be compatible with labware such as: microcentrifuge tubes, PCR tubes, strips, plates, petri dishes,
and slides.
Must be capable of labeling at least 1,000 tubes per hour.
Must have benchtop space requirement of less than 30” x 20”.
Must be able to print alphanumeric characters as small as 2 mm in height.
Must have ink that can withstand liquid nitrogen storage.
Must be able to interface with excel.
Must be able to switch between labware quickly (30 seconds or less)
Must come with one rack allowing for printing on the side of 1.5 – 2.0 mL tubes.
Must come with one rack allowing for printing on the top of 1.5 – 2.0 mL tubes.
Must come with one rack allowing for printing on 0.2 mL PCR tubes.
