This Sources Sought notice is being issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. No formal solicitation for this work exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, administrative, and management capability of such offerors to perform this type of work; also, to determine the appropriate procurement strategy, in particular, whether a set-aside or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. The Government does not intend to award a contract and will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice.
The anticipated North American Industry Classification System code is 562910, Remediation Services, with a small business size standard of 1,000 in number of employees.
The Government is considering awarding a firm fixed price purchase order.
The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado-Basin, Yuma Area Office (YAO), has a requirement for asbestos abatement in Coachella, CA. The contractor is required to collect, haul, and dispose of asbestos containing material (ACM), using methods appropriate for that work. Contractor will provide certified personnel to verify complete ACM removal at the site.
The abatement work required is located at Avenue 56 @ Coachella Canal SW ¼ SW ¼, S18, T6S, R9E, SBM on Reclamation Withdrawn Land. This parcel¿s physical address is the intersection of Airport Blvd. & Buchanan St., Thermal CA 92274. The site is located in the Coachella Valley in a rural farm area, on the east side of the valley along the Coachella Canal.
The waste to be removed is mostly crushed pipe (with some intact) arranged in a single elongated pile at about the midpoint of the parcel.
The contract objective is to remove and legally dispose of all ACM located on site. There is also a minor amount of other wastes such as wooden pallets, gaskets, plastic packaging, household trash, and organics mixed in that shall also be removed and legally disposed of. Soil beneath the pile is to be over-excavated, removed, and legally disposed of.

The capabilities package should include the following information:
1. Provide business name, Unique Entity ID, address, point of contact to include e-mail address, telephone number and website if applicable;
2. Business size and type (8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business, Large Business, etc.);
3. Demonstrate the firm's capability and experience by providing a list of projects completed where the work involved similar contracts in the past five years, and in which your firm performed the work. Additionally, for each project listed, provide the following: a brief description of the work performed, project title, dollar value of the job, prime/subcontractor, location, and the customer's contact name and phone number for the work completed.
When it is determined that a formal solicitation will be issued, the solicitation will be posted on Contract Opportunities at sam.gov website at http://sam.gov/.
