This is a sources sought announcement to be used for preliminary market research purposes only. No quotations are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTATIONS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The type of solicitation to issue will depend upon the responses to this synopsis. No reimbursement will be made by the Government for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and
qualifications of various members of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned
Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically
Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) to compete and perform a Firm
Fixed Price Purchase Order. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the
responses to this sources sought synopsis.
The National Park Service has a requirement for a contractor to provide radar-based traffic counting devices which are capable of automatically reporting out a data package that is compatible with the park¿s ¿parkdata¿ web API based application created and managed by Southern Utah University.
Required equipment and specifications:
1. 18 StatTrak Data Collecting radar units
2. StatTrak units are required to be equipped with cell modems and GPS
3. Provided units must be designed for ultra-low power consumption with a two-week run time on built in batteries.
4. Onboard memory storage capacity of up to 300,000 individual vehicles.
5. Radar units must be capable of recording of up to 4 lanes of approaching or receding traffic flow.
6. Radar units must be capable of collecting individual time stamped vehicle counts, speeds and class (up to 3 vehicles) per direction in a 2+2 lane configuration.
7. Each unit to be outfitted with a solar power solution including solar panel, charge controller and pole mounting bracket.
8. Radar units must include a Remote Management and Traffic Stats application compatible with the web-based data reporting tool ¿TraffiCloud¿
9. All data communications must be provided by Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) compliant computer servers.
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this sources sought is 334290 ¿ Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS code is 800 employees.

3. Any experience supplying and servicing the units specified in this notice.
